Coil package just means the cross members are closer together in the center of the trailer. Some trailers have 12" spacing between the x-members, others have as little as 4" where a coil would set. I'd also see what suspension it has since it's a 2000 it's probably Hedrickson HT-230-250-or 300. (23k, 25k, and 30k per axle) Of course the higher the better, the higher the capacity the lower the air pressure in the bags the better the ride. What your planning on hauling most of the time helps determine what you'd need.

I'ver always stayed away from Benson trailers cause I have never had any luck with them Before I became a o/o the company I worked for bout 4 brand new Bensons set up with 4 9's. With a 38,000 lbs. coil in the center of the trailer the lift axles wouldn't even come off the ground even though the regular down axles were fully aired up. Benson's solution to this problem was to put spacer plates on the air bags of the down axles instead of stiffing up the frame. Basically the trailer was smiling back at ya when it was loaded.

Personally I would look at a MAC or Manac. I like what both trailers bring to the table in terms of price and performance. Reitnoier use to be the top dog, but they have become highly overpriced and the quality has dropped.
