If it's actually a W-2 employee situation & more importantly, he can get past the insurance cost/requirements for an inexperienced driver..... I would persue that, without a doubt.
If so, will likely beat most anything you will find.
If he is also offering benefits, #### hard to beat.
Biggest issue is insurance requirements for under 2yrs/no experience.
Never know unless you check out. Unlikely, but worth the call.

FullMetalJacket Thanks this. -
Think the question that needs answering more than anything is; Why do you want to be a truck driver?
bavarian Thanks this. -
No experience with DOT, but for many deliveries & running into drivers.
Seems to be well run operation, well maintained equipment & drivers that actually seem to be decent & courteous.
All I have met seem to be very happy with them.Alley Dock and Chinatown Thank this. -
Same here; I've never met a DOT driver that wasn't happy with the job. I've met quite a few over the years.Alley Dock, Speedy356 and FullMetalJacket Thank this.

Some regional jobs are touch and no touch. What do you guys think the touch job involves? Heavy loading and unloading?

the media is very slow to notice changes in industries until they immediately all switch to the same story. Trucking was booming and now has slowed as the economy is slowing. COVID temporarily boosted trucking to crazy high levels for about 2 years, while the truckign industry had been steadily growing for a couple of decades before that. Every time the economy slows, trucking slows.FullMetalJacket and slim shady Thank this.

Maybe Werner has that. Knight Transportation more than likely has something local around Los Angeles.
