    In some ways you're right, some smaller companies "are not quite as regimented with corporate stupidity" ; however, the trucking industry is full of DOT stupidity, EPA stupidity, local/state municipality stupidity and every other government entity that wants to wet their beak with your paycheck.

    Thanks for all of your advise and opinions. I decided to schedule a DOT physical on my own to get the ball rolling. Since my last regular physical was 2 years ago, I figured if I have any disqualifying medical issues, I would be best to find out before enrolling in a CDL school. So... half way into the exam, my urine sample came back showing traces of blood. Otherwise good. She told me to go home for the weekend, drink plenty of water and come back in Monday. I did, and the results were the same. Now she wants me to get a kidney ultrasound. I asked if traces of blood in the urine will prevent me from passing the exam. She said it will, unless/until we find the cause. Well, I can't find anything in the DOT examination requirements confirming or denying her answer so I'm asking if any of you have any knowledge in this regard.

    Oh, and when she asked if I have any urinary symptoms, I told her yeah... I can't piss over the fence like I could when I was 10.
