Best Battery for Combo Starting/APU

    Customer has 2017 Peterbilt truck with the Bolt Luxury Sleeper/kitchen. Has a APU unit but only four regular 900 CCA batteries. They are bad now and he wants to install new batteries. I was surprised it did not have 4 extra batteries for the sleeper/APU. What would be the best type battery to use?

    I would go with 650 or 700 CCA for a longer reserve capacity. 900s are only good for quick fast starts, but not long slow cranks or aux loads.

    The truck dose not need extra batteries. Change them out to the 950's it will be fine. The sleeper runs off of a generator. The inverter is only used for one outlet usually for the tv. Everything else is 120 off the generator.

    Exactly the batteries are only used for starting the motor or the generator. I see you went with the 730. That ok you will change them out in about 8 months
