Best CB and advice for a CB noob

While that’s sort of true, you can find radios for as cheap as $5. I just bought a box of them for $50, all cobra 29. Every one of them I tested so far works. This lingered on craigs list for 7 weeks and I just ran over and called the guy.

 

So your suggestion is what?????
Buy used from a pawn shop,joe blow from craigs list type of radio where you can spend more than its value or save $40 but radio has been on just as many benches and doesnt work wortha crap??
Lemmie gues your gonna tellem not to buy coax and antenna to cause you can save another $50-$100 by useing some string and a stick.....

 

try and buy a used radio Craigslist , thrift stores , or radio shops if you have a points Card save them
Towards a newer radio

 

Most times its gonna be a hacked up radio if you buy used..Frig that if a $100 -$200 is gonna break you then forget the idea all together..

 

The thing I fear most about used radios is the possibility of tortured finals. God knows if the previous owner knew anything about antenna setup

 

Yeah, whenever I look over used stuff I feel like I'm looking for a wife at Bunny's Hop House in Nevada.

 

Hmmm, I don't know about equipment that's been used as a Door Knob if you get my drift... I prefer virgin radios

 

Or dead ones...

 

You never know, the local auto parts store may have a BRAND NEW Kraco CB in the back room
