    Measure from the ground up to your mount. Subtract that distance from 13'6". The remainder will be your maximum length for the antenna. Get as close as possible to the maximum length without going over.

    I had my first antenna too high and I couldn't figure out what that "clang" noise was every time I'd go under an overpass. I finally noticed that my antenna was now in the shape of a "J".

    2014 Plasticadia with the mount over the passenger door being the one in use.

    Ran an old international yrs ago..Had 2 wilson 2000's attached to the rod that connects cab extenders to back wall of cab..Same as you every overpass goin down the 95 in maine..CLAING!! Finally when i saw the issue my whips were curled up like pig tails..lol

    They quit making that mount because those bolt holes are only tack welded. It’s a matter of time before windload takes over if your antenna has any weight. Never mind you’re in a newer truck now.

    I've got one of these in stainless steel that I know will fit up to a 2016 Freightliner. Uses the stock bolts. Retired and don't need it anymore. $25 will probably cover the shipping if anybody is interested. Or if you come thru this area, I'll meet you and give it to you. P.S. I'm gonna hang on to my 7ft Skip Shooter.
