best cb radio?

I'm assuming they don't want to be mud ducks like most of Bob's Customers although he does have a nice selection of antennas very similar to the ones that I build for myself.

 

Well he did work on my cobra 29 after his techs grounded my antenna. Everyone says I sound good. Looking to get a Top Gun Quad 5 but I've found places cheaper online. Looks like the going rate is around $269 shipped. Running a Wilson 2000 but will be upgrading that also.

Have you gotten any 30 mile compliments yet? I've given many 30 mile compliments to guys with stock unmodified Cobra 29's.
I'm lucky to hear one of Bob's Customers more than 8 miles away.

I get those long distence compliments all the time....well ok im on the phone in my case..lol

 

It's not 38 watts its a lil over 20. It's a 38 watt carrier with my rfx on I couldn't remember what I wrote down when I saw it in the bench. I get people asking everyday where I got the work done and say it sounds like a #### radio station and they want to get work done there.

Because despite somehow being on some white lists, he's definitely not running a white list shop. He's got a great inventory but don't let him take the screws out of your radio.

 

Meh, just bought a quad 5, roadking mic and predator 10k comp antenna. Seems to be working fine. Will test it tomorrow on my way out to Chicago.

No I bought a K-1-9 comp and it was new. It seems you guys think bob is a, you need to do blah blah blah and to buy blah blah blah. I think the most i talked to bob was when i was trying to get a better price on an item. He was like nope and went back to work. You deal with his employee's. If you need your radio worked on, then he becomes involved. Both times i've been there, i've delt with the same guy. I've done my own reseach on the radio just like i do with ANYTHING I buy. There was not one thing i bought there that they were like, you NEED this. I asked questions and they provided the best explanation they could to help my decision.

I went with this antenna because its light weight, has an extra coil or two, and has a thicker whip.
