Well I get it, another thing to sell to cbers.
milspec means nothing other than it stands up to military standards which now a days means little because it is considered expendable material. I've got 500 feet of m17/163 rg213 and 2000 feet of old regular rg213 from belden and the belden cable is much much better and seems to last longer when I install it out side, It isn't like the old days where the stuff was indestructible, they make some of this like crap so to give it a short life to make money on replacements.
best cb radio?

Darn I was hoping M spec meant higher standard of quality control had been met. Always had looked for it in vhf radios.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Quality control - yes
Equate to long life or breakdown internally - not always.
I get the best coax I can get for long runs, the short runs for both VHF and hf work I use good belden cable. I don't see any issues with 25 feet of cable no matter what I use for hf or 2M but when I get above 440, I start to see issues. -
You want to sell about 100ft of that Belden cable?

So how does HD decide who is a chosen one if he doesnt reply to a email,fb or a text you sent to him on my behalf....
Lame if you ask me to more or less build a business and post vids and show off your skills which i now have herd as of yesterday and not define who he will do business with..

I cannot explain how HD makes his decisions nor will I try.
. I sent my radios to him just ahead of the Christmas season just after he located to Las Cruces. I expected there to be a delay as he got thru his backlog and Christmas orders. It was a few weeks before he got to them. When he was ready he called me on the phone explained his recommendations for each radio(3) and the prices. Overnight he sent me an invoice and I was able to pay that thru Paypal with no issues. my radios arrived within a few days. They were well packed and seem to be performing well. This was my 1st experience dealing with him I have no complaints, I also contacted him thru the facebook page. I hope he does get to your messages shortly. Good luck with your cancer treatment, more radio playtime that's a positive way to view the downtime.rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -

He stereotypes potential customers based on his first Impression of them, and if he thinks the customer has been around long enough to recognize quality work, and if he thinks the customer will use the radio in a courteous and responsible manner, he makes a decision about whether or not to provide a service to that person. He understands that every radio that leaves his shop has the potential to help or damage his reputation and he factors that into the equation. Like I said, he is eccentric and unlike anyone out there.

That'd all be great if I were looking to join a cult. If I'm just looking to get quality work to a radio as a paying customer, and not some desperate charity case, then business should be business.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.
