I agree on the cobra 29. My galaxy stopped working and haven't had a chance to send it out for repairs. When I was hooking up my Cobra 29 I thought it would really suck and I am pretty impressed with it. If you like the quality of the Cobra 29 LTD and you want SSB too, get the best of both worlds. Buy yourself a Cobra 148GTL AM/SSB.

Avoid the newest, "Made in China" ones, however.

Personally I'd say hit up ebay for a Phillipine-made Grant XL, arguably the best mobile CB-SSB radio ever made.

I noticed the guys with the Cobra 29 soundtracker have a much easier time hearing me than the guys with the Cobra 29 LTD Classic.
kind of hard to go wrong with either one for the price.
