Try taking a 2 week break to try something else. And going back. Have your account reinstated and the account number ending in -02 now instead of -01. Then getting a bill for 01. Paying bill. And having it pop up 3 months later on credit report. 4 years later. And complaints to every gvmt agency possible. OH WELL is their response.
2 more years for $100 to delete itself.
They were promptly paid. And they don't care.
With att having better coverage now. Tmo and sprint joining forces. And verizon losing football. Plus 5g rolling out. I think verizon days are done.

We've been with AT&T for 12 years now. It's not the cheapest by any stretch of the imagination, but it's been drama free service all this time. We've used it in Europe, the Middle East, Asia Mexico, Canada and everywhere else in the USA with very few problems over the years.
We have two phones and two tablets on the family plan with unlimited service. We use their Directv Now Streaming discount through that so my husband has it on the road anywhere with no worries. And Netflix, Prime TV and HULU all stream on his tablet through the cellular connection on his tablet with zero problems on the road.WesternPlains Thanks this. -
Walmarts Staight talk is $55 perline unlimited and same service as Verizon. You could also use the same phone, proproba ulocked or not.WesternPlains Thanks this.

Straight talk isn't all that great if you use your phone as a hotspot.
The day data will be more expensive than any Verizon plan.WesternPlains Thanks this. -
Verizon days are done?
LOL
They still have 4 times the coverage area of the others. Twice the market share,.. and more 5G licenses than the others combined.
Its ok to hate Verizon. I dont like their prices either. But to be honest,.. its a business expense. If someone came along that was better than Verizon and cost more than Verizon,.. I would go with them. Its the service overage are that I need.
ATT is a close second and the only real competitor to Verizon. But they too have cracks in their system. When you weight the pro's and con's,.. it makes sense for someone who truly goes OTR to use verizon if they can afford it.
The one aggravating thing with Verizon and their unlimited service,.. (Which BTW is still better than the others) is how they castrate hotspot after 20gb. So this is how I worked it out to get the hotspot data I needed.
I have the I have the Unlimited beyond beyond thing with 20gb hotspot for $110 month. I then added 2 more lines of Jetpack service each with 20gb of hotspot,.. for a total of 60gb. The Jetpacks were free with 2 year agreements and they only added $20 to my bill. So now my bill is $130 a month.
I know thats expensive for most people. Like I said,.. its a tax write of for me. But always searching for a better way,.. I think I have come up with a solution to solve my hotspot needs that may allow me to go back to my original $98 unlimited plan.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has the ability to use a mini USB C to HDMI adapter to put a desktop screen onto a TV. Being that Phone data is not castrated after 20gb,.. I can still use Netflix, Hulu and Philo TV services through my phone and watch them on my 42inch TV here in the truck instead of using hotspot for my laptop and then sending the HDMI out to the TV like I am doing now.
I've pre-ordered the phone through Samsung,.. ($1000.00 phone,.. not for the faint of heart,.. #### its expensive) not sure if its been delivered at home or not. But I will update here after I get it working and report if its a viable option to cut back on needed data expenses.
Hurstmladen86 and WesternPlains Thank this. -
Don't need a 1000.00 phone to mirror cast to your laptop.
Just need a good dongle.WesternPlains and Swiss Mountain Dog Thank this. -
Not mirror casting to my laptop.
I turn on the hotspot and use the firefox web browser to log into my Netflix account to watch TV,.. I use an HDMI cable to mirror my laptop screen out to my 42inch Sony Bravia 4k TV here in the truck. Hulu and Philo TV as well.
Thats my current arrangement.
My plan is to eliminate the need for my laptop and hotspot data by using the new DEX desktop on the NOTE 9,.. and send it out to my TV via the USB-C to HDMI adapter. No need for Dex station or dex pad as with the previous Note 8 and S9. And also should allow for 1080P full screen resolution instead of 720p and windowed mode for Neflix
Thats the plan anyway. Read a few articles and videos on the subject,. seems to be legit. Worst case,.. I have an expensive phone and continue as I have been.
HurstWesternPlains and driverdriver Thank this. -
Did a bit of quick searching and discovered that Win10 with Miracast will wirelessly connect phone display to Laptop. Then I'm going to try to send it to TV.
Downloading the app now.
Be cool if this works.
HurstWesternPlains and driverdriver Thank this. -
Well that was short lived.
Tried 4 different apps,.. none did what I needed.
They mirror the screen to the desktop,.. Chrome works as does most other apps. But when you try to play Netflix or any other video,.. it seems there is some kind of copy protection that wont allow video to be played. I get audio,.. but no video.
I'll do some more reading,.. but looks like the expensive phone is the solution I need unless I can find something different that does the same thing.
HurstWesternPlains Thanks this. -
Yes sir I think Verizon days are over. With 5g coming out. And everyone offering streaming tv. Verizon lost their edge when they lost football. Now they're offering youtube tv. But youtube is expensive and don't offer much compared to other streaming services. Att has better coverage around my parts.
The carrier system is going through changes with everything around the corner. And there are other companies getting in to the game. Everybody wants a piece of the 5g pie and the streaming tv pie.
The note9 won't be out till Friday. I'm in the market myself for a new phone. But I HATE how big they are now. My s8 was dropped more times then all my other phones combined. And it's too big in my pocket.WesternPlains Thanks this.
