I had verizon. Coverage sucked for 4G.
I went to Tmobile. They bite just as bad as Verizon.
There is now good provider.
What I AM seeing with my Samsung S2, most of the time, I am using ATT towers where I run.
Once this stupid Tmobile contract is over, I am likely to go to ATT.
Best cellular provider for OTR?

Verizon has the best 3g and 4g coverage compared to T-Mobile. T-Mobile only had edge which is slower 3g everywhere unless you were in a city then you may or may not always have 4g. As far as dropped calls go it seems to be about the same.
That's just my opinion running Minnesota to Florida. -
VERIZON IS NOT better then all combined. sorry to say.
and i've had no problem with sprint when i leave the freeway.
verizon has a lot of lousy coverage. but sprint will cover it. and vice versa. but both are better then att and tmo.
if i were over on the east. i would stuck with sprint. but over here on the west where i run a lot. verizon is better. so it basically depends on where you run the most.
if and when i get back off the road. i'll be going back to sprint. cuz verizon just isn't worth the extra money. -
I found out the hard way cheapo phones are not good for service at all, I have a Motorola smart phone and find it to have better reception than a regular phone.
Big Duker Thanks this. -
I use verizon and its good in alot of states I run threw.
-
I'm gonna try upgrading to a newer phone soon and if that don't help then I'm going to Verizon, thanks for the feedback, and I run all states mostly btw.

in WY, NE, MT, ID, T-mobile bites, BIG TIME.
I have also had poor service with T-mobile in the Chicago, Des Moines, St Louis, Indy, Omaha, Kansas City MO, Omaha and Denver markets.
At times, I can get a notice that I have email, but when I go to look at them, I get a notice of no internet access. Huh?
At times, I can't even send a text message with tmobile in those same markets.
They have given me a new phone, 2 new sim cards and the problem STILL persists. But it's a problem with my phone according to them. They tell me it's because my phone is not doing a good handoff from one tower to the next.
Um, that would be a SYSTEM issue then. -
I had sprint for 9 years up until last November. I got so tired of dropping calls no matter where I was I finally switched to Verizon. A little more money and no unlimited data, but what a difference in coverage areas. Very few places where I can't get a signal.

From the replys so far it definitely seems Verizon is better than T-Mobile, maybe I'll make the switch if Verizon gets the Galaxy s4. The plans that I want seem very close in price so It's all about who has the best data coverage for me.

I dropped verizon after ten years their customer service went into the toilet and their.prices went through the roof I switched to sprint have not had any issues for the most part I run the mid atlantic though
