Let's try this another way -
- What type of truck are you looking to drive - specs?
- How much are you looking to earn per mile, without bonuses?
- How much do you want to gross (before deductions) week?
- What type of freight do you want to haul?
- Where do you want to run?
- How many days are you willing to work before you take a break?
BigR Thanks this. -
You were probably speeding but you don't know for sure? You just paid the tickets without really knowing what they were for?
I don't know any driver anywhere who could make that statement. And please hold off on insulting the other members here. They're trying to help you. -
Sounds like all you are looking for are the mega-carriers with 10 or more terminals. If that's the case, I and the rest of the staff can delete any and all references to any company that doesn't fit your desires. By doing that, you would limit yourself more than you could ever imagine. Keep in mind, the best company for you probably won't be the best company for someone else simply because every driver is different, have different needs, and are at different points in their life.
I have my esteemed colleague's back when he said the insults need to cease. Everyone who has posted so far has been or are currently drivers and are truly trying to help you.Nashville, Old_n_gray, JoeyJunk and 10 others Thank this. -
Agreed, I just stumbled on this thread and started reading, everyone here has tried to help her. I don't think she's trying to be rude or insult anyone intentionally, I think the overall attitude in her posts speaks to lack of experience in this industry. Wish her the best, but trucking isn't a one size fits all industry, it's nearly impossible to help her with what she's looking for with the information given. Sounds like she is looking for a mega carrier, but I have a feeling that could do more harm than good career wise. Just my two cents, I'd move wherever you are going to move, then find a company with a good reputation based in or with a terminal in that area. We've all been new at one time or another, most everyone here will help if they can, but you have to respect your fellow drivers here just like on the road.JoeyJunk, Jamie01, austinmike and 3 others Thank this.

Not trying to be rude, but ya better figure out exactly what those tickets were for an when they occurred because I can guarantee you that any reputable company that you apply to is going to require full details an disclosure of them during the application process.

People on here aren’t paid, they answer questions because they are helpful and considerate people.
Insulting us is not the way to earn the help you desire….
Answer the questions without the insults and maybe you will get some help…. Otherwise…. As they say…. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out……JoeyJunk, Professor No-Name, BigR and 2 others Thank this. -
I can't speak for others, of course -- but ever since then, I've been incredibly "butt-hurt"....
....and in desperate need of a MUCH better "safe space" (and/or professional counseling) ever since......

I know just the place for you. The only problem is, it requires a minimum residency of one year before a return to society. On the upside, they quit using the electro-shock treatments and started conducting patient trials with pharmaceuticals and aversion therapy.
One of our people just got back and other than a tendency to guard his food, periodic incontinence, and his slurred speech he's doing quite well.
When you get back, if you get back, we'll see if you're still relevant enough to continue here. The short term memory loss is almost always reversible.
