It depends a lot on what you are going to be doing. I would simply say any pre 03' cat, cummins, or detroit with a 13 or 18 speed. They all perform well if you don't drive it like you stole it. We have a few Cats and Cummins and 1 detroit all 500hp or more. The detroit just doesn't pull anywhere near as good as the others but all of our loads are grossing around 100k or more. Also we don't worry about mpg much in the ag industry. You might tell us a little more about what you will be doing with it and would like to get out out of it. Big power for heavy haul or good mpg for long hauls?

Any details as to why? I find that interesting based on how much they say they put into making sure they are well-built remans.

I know of one guy who had one come apart at 180k... and another guy who has 6 all being overhauled under warranty with less than 450k on them. It's my understanding that Fitz uses aftermarket parts on their remans and not OEM Detroit stuff which is causing issues. If you order a glider from them they offer a Detroit reman Series 60 as well, which seems to be the better choice.

    Zeviander Thanks this.
