What do to regulations specifically say? Keeping one mounting outside for hazmat operations may be fine, but a fire extinguisher may still be required inside of the vehicle. The decals I've seen always read "Fire extinguisher Inside."

Sure seems like a stupid way of fighting a forest fire. And that stuff weighs a ton. I saw a video where a forest truck was caught under that spray and shattered the windshield.

We used to have this set up with Sentinel Transportation, but the bracket would rust and let loose with time. I myself lost a fire extinguisher on the road, I wouldn't recommend it.

If you mount one behind the cab make sure it has some type of coverage.
We had them on a headache rack where I used to work, the weather exposure was bad on them.

i drove a daycab, and we had (1) 20 lb, of B, C, and if i recall, they were the Badger brand. fully rechargeable, not a throw away type.

fit well behind the driver seat, mounted on the backwall.
