McElroy says they guarantee to get you home every weekend....."sounds" worth looking into...
I think im leaning more towards BTC, Hornady, McElroy, Maverick....in that order.
BTC/McElroy/Maverick take students, Hornady requires 6 months experience ( according to their website, they dont list that they take students....)
They all seem to be pretty close as far as what they offer the driver.
Still doing my research though.
Of course im putting the trailer before the tractor!
I still gotta get out of the military, get my CDL, then start looking who i want to work for....but gotta start somewhere!

I used to work for McElroy and you can check out my profile and see everything I have posted about them, but the bottom line is that they WILL get you home "every weekend", but the times will vary due to many factors. They are a GOOD starter company IMHO.
-
I can't work for McElroy due to where I live. I called today and got told that bad news.

Keim TS. . . since I am located in the mid-west this is my vote. I actually started with another outfit, but in hind sight they get my vote. #### that sounds like a real brown noser. . .
-
To be honest I am very shocked that TMC only has 2 votes so far. I know that not everyone has voted but still????? Also please remember I am only looking at flatbed companies that hire out of Philadelphia, PA.
-
Miz860 I am surprised also not too many votes for tmc. I personally like what they have to offer. Tandem is my second choice.too bad you don't have experience . they require 6 months.home every weekend. I like the fact that they rent you a car to drive to orentation . they have a 3000 dollar sign on bonus. oreantation is only 4 days long .you get a check for 1000 dollars on the fourth day. Then four checks for 500 the next four weeks. But the super 10's scare me away . Super 10 transmission suck no power. I don't think I could drive for BTC . To they still use Mack trucks ? We have a Mack at our florida location. What a peace of junk. I hate Mack trucks

Yea I drove a super 10 while at school I agree with you that it was a piece of crap. The whole TMC thing is weird like I am choosing between them and PGT as of now I will be going to PGT no one has really stood up for TMC and those that have didn't say anything was better then their trucks.
-
Anybody know, or even drive for Hornady Transportation? Out of Monroeville, AL i think.
They require 6 months exp. though. -
what happened with all state powervac..??? -
they were suppose to have interviews while I was taking my refresher at my CDL school and I had one but they said they were going to have to push them back to after the holidays. So IDK I can't wait that long you know.
