I think you should consider a company that has both vans and flats just in case flatbed work doesn't suit you.

Flatbed is all for me. I like the labor involved but as I mentioned I was looking into ROEHL because they have everything.

Boyd Bros isn't on your short list.
Not much info about the company but they'll get you home weekends.

Currently I'm at Melton and doing very well. Cameras are in all trucks. Talk on the phone all you want as long as it's hands free. Home time is 1 day for every week you're out. Gotta stay out for 2 weeks minimum. APU, Inverter, new trucks have fridges. Treated like family every time you call in, tons of help out here. Securement videos loaded on your Qualcomm if you need help with a certain load.
Basically anything you can think of that would be nice to have Melton gives it to you. They've taken good care of me and if I have a problem their response is "how can we get this fixed as soon as possible" and not the typical "finish your load and then we'll worry about it."

With that said when you have a family I would take the job that gets you home weekly. An APU/fridge/inverter/microwave/TV or whatever else you can get for being OTR with a company like Melton won't help you see your family.
