I have been posting my truck lately on ITS. Not something I've done much in the past. Kind of makes me wish I ran longer runs to anywhere with the late day phone calls I get filled with desperation. I can almost feel the stack of money in my hand :)

maybe one of these days I'll take something longer, until then "chicken lights and chrome-I'm headed home"

Glad I found this thread... I can secure the load on my step with no problem, I can get to point "A" in a timely and safe manner with no problem, and I can get to point "B" in a timely and safe manner as well. I always give the Broker my ETA of PU and DEL, and I always give updates,,,I am a fan of the "text" updates or "email" updates. The only problem I am having that is in my control is dealing with Brokers, regarding rates and loads. If I tell anyone, I will do this,,,I will do it, unless something happens out of my control. I will of course update Broker, shipper and or consignee. I just seem to find the Broker that is shady, and believe me, I call many. I have known for a while now, since I tried my hand in sales many years ago, that I am not good at negotiating, and mainly because I won't lie, and I am honest to a fault. I have learned that giving my company name, location and MC# is not a good idea right off the bat. I would like to get the details of the load, and then the offered rate before I give any info besides my name,,is there anything wrong with that? Once I except of counter their rate, and they except it, I will then give them anything they want. But, if I have taken a load from them before, for x amount of dollars and the load I am calling on pays more, but then they see who I am,,,,well you get the jist.

I can not work with TQL because the company I am contracted with, will not. I have looked at LS, CH and the like but, I don't get much, hardly any, freight from either. I use ITS as of late and just today posted my truck, to see what if anything bites. I have also used the new feature to give my offer on 3 loads, after all my calculations of course. Maybe this will be a better fit for me, who knows. I have been an I/C since June of 2014 and have been pulling a Step since Dec 2014. I did good with the Reefer but not so good with the step,,,freight rate wise that is.
