Fighting tickets is a tedious task when it's local, I can only assume it's worse when you get a ticket in Texas but you live in Canada.

Sure you can get a lawyer but then you are paying lawyer fees to keep ticket of your record.

The worst GPS is any that use COPILOT. My company uses a built in unit called "Treq", mobile data terminal. Messaging, elog and gps using copilot.
Worst truck gps because lots of roads are not entered in unit. It will keep you on truck route but it may not be best route.

Based on the specs of the Treq unit, my guess is the issue is with the Treq, not with CoPilot itself.

    256 mb RAM
4 GB Flash (I'm assuming this is the HD)
    Windows Embedded CE 6.0
    http://www.micronet-inc.com/products/product-techspecs.aspx?id=16

That's not a lot of room to put messaging, e-log, and CoPilot on. I don't know what the specs are on the MCP 100 with e-log that my company uses, but it is pathetically slow. I could not even begin to imagine having CoPilot on there also.

Conversely, my outdated Motorola Xoom has 4 times the RAM and HD capacity and runs CoPilot without a hiccup and tons of detail.

CoPilot on my Android lets you choose 1 of 3 routes (it shows the variances in time and distance) and you can also drag the route to make it go where you want it to. You can even zoom it in to street level and set "route through" points to make your route follow your directions to a destination (ie, customer's address) if you want it to. If you cannot do that with the Treq, it sounds like a limitation with the Treq, not the CoPilot itself.

I have a RM 720 and a RM 730....dont waste your money on them.they do a fine job until you get "Application Error"pop up on the screen.the only way to fix it,log onto a computer w/ethernet cable(wifi is to slow)and the RM will last another week or two and then repeat the process.RM customer service is a joke, they dont have a answer other than a software glitch they are working on.finally bought a Garmin 770 dezl, not the best, but better than nothing.at least its dependable.it was a exspensive lesson, and it cost me lots of $$,but I wont recommend RM GPS to anyone,RM needs to stick to paper road atlas"s and leave the electronics to companys that know what the hell they are doing.

An update has been out for about a week now for this. If you posted or read the support thread you would have known this.

I posted about the Treq unit my company provides that runs copilot gps.
I admit it may be that the memory for unit may be the problem. The Treq has too much on one system.

I have heard about "Fixes"for the past month..i have hooked both GPS"s to the Dock and did the diagnostic repairs and updates. Just got the 720 back from RM and they charged me $100.00 .got the "Application Error" yesterday afternoon coming through Jacksonville FL. stopped and set up the Garmin. This is the routine with RM and their "FIXES"so dont try blowing smoke at me about they have it resolved..they dont.so out of 3 GPS"s ...only one so far is dependable. I will say the 720 did great for three years..but the 730 started doing it the first week out of the box.I have been on the phone countless times already with RM support..they still have issues with the software.
