Hooters sucks anymore. Twin Peaks is better except maybe avoid them when opposing biker gangs decide to congregate there simultaneously

I'm a vampire as much as I can be. After so many years you get acclimated to sleeping whenever your drive time is up. For me the trick is to get the bunk really dark with a red bulb night light.

Get out of your truck and walk around your trailer. If it looks like a big 53 foot box but has an engine on the front of it with some kind of a temperature gauge on it, you are going to be driving at night and sleeping during the day.

If that Trailer has the phrase K and B transport on it, you are going to get a call just as soon as ten hours pass asking you why you are not rolling yet.

I myself am one of the drivers that can run anytime, but my favorite is starting at 0400 and finishing up around 1700. By the time I am ready for a lunch break everyone is starting their day so parking is always there and the same when I end my day.

The only time I do a 34 is if I am out of hours on the 7th day otherwise I run any rollover I have available. If I need a 34 my company will get me home to do it if they can so they don't have to pay me the $150 for doing one away from home.

I like to start around 1900 and run until 0630.

You catch the tail end of evening traffic in built up areas and are just ahead of the big rush in the morning

Half of my career it was 2200 load out and 0900 load in.

Not old enough to be an early bird, yet. Unless I have a crazy appointment or there's a metro area ahead, I'm leaving around 10am, parked by 7pm. As long as I can get through before or after traffic I can't complain.

Our fuel bonus is pretty hefty so parking at 3-4pm in the summer and idling all day is out of the question, for me.
