North face stuff is great just not really work gear, more snow gear for skiing/snowboarding. I know I wouldn't wear my NF jacket or fleece for tarping or securing a load EVER!

I have to wear hi viz and a hard hat most of the time, so I wear one of those all yellow with huge reflective stripes that I got from trucker driver training at CVTC, but when spring and summer come, I will have to do something different. I used to work construction, so I have alot of those light weight Class 3 covers.

Here is Wisconsin, it's much colder, I wear a mid weight for my first layer.

The hardest part is the boots. Gotta be small enough to only hit ONE pedal at a time.:biggrin_25510:

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but what do most of you flatbedders where during the spring/summer when it's hot outside?

    Thanks!

If you end working in wet snow that will stick and soak you, throw on one of those flannel shirt jackets as a top layer. I always had a extra sized one that loosely fit over my normal gear, when the wet snow hit it would soak the outer layer and then freeze before the inner layer gets wet, and thus keeping your normal gear dry.

may not sound very bright, but i still have my leather motorcycle jacket and if i get started with a flatbed, im wearing that. i rode my bike in 30 degree temps, wearing it. they do a great job at blocking the wind and it is waterproof, just put a sweat shirt on under it and you are good to go.

I always wore a nice pair of these. http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/65637?feat=511926-GN3&page=men-s-wicked-good-moccasins-solid
I know for a fact I drove 250K miles with these on. Never wore my boots inside the truck. They always came off and went on the 2 dollar walmart door rug on the passenger side floor. Makes it easy to keep the truck clean! Before I got a pair of those I would just wear my socks to drive in. I hated mud, sand, gravel, ect in my truck so I also had a little vacuum with me....
