I know a few that have, and I know a few that have been with JCT for years and just prefer driving newer trucks so they never complete the lease. Oh, and there are some drivers with no business sense who go broke. If you have a clue and the discipline to hold back $$$ for your quarterly taxes JCT's lease is as good as any and better than most. You'll get plenty of miles, pay on your lease, and clear more money than most company drivers. This has been MY experience anyway. To make it though you have to stay out and run. Every day my truck sits at home it costs me $150. Their lease is designed for people with poor or no credit and they charge a sky-high interest rate to prove it. I'm looking at alternatives right now to either buy a truck or lease one from a third-party to reduce my expenses.
best lease-purchase?

For what its worth Gordon has a lease purchase program. The numbers looked good, and they actually turned me down when I applied, wanting me get another 6 months OTR experiance so I could make it work.

Well forget it, apparently my record is too screwed up despite the most recent ticket being over a year old now. I called probably 20 carriers and none called me back. I guess I'm stuck with western express for the next several years until everything falls off my record.
Thanks for the info anyway guys.Chinatown Thanks this. -

I checked Sammons website and think that their programm has a lot of advantages. The only downside is, that they require 12 month of flatbed experience, which I don't have.

If you have no money and a less than stellar record plus no credit, why the hell are you looking to do a lease purchase? Are things not bad enough that you just feel the need to drag yourself into the seventh circle of hell? I'm sorry, no, no I'm not. Think before you do things. This is probably why you are in this shape. Wow.
The Challenger, OregonJoe and Jrdude5 Thank this. -
Buchanan hauling and rigging has a good l/p purchase program. It takes work as well as any business does but you can make money as well as pay off your truck in the end. We are mainly a flatbed and heavy haul company with a few vans. I am not a recruiter and my truck number is 9055. I have worked for Buchanan for 1 1/2 years and have a few other posts about them on here.
