Are you always such a jerk? The question was specifically for mattresses that do well in a truck setting, especially when the co-driver is driving. This isn't the same as in a mattress store. But thanks so much for your valuable contribution to the conversation.

I bought a piece of 4" memory foam cut to size from a furniture upholstery shop. It was excellent for me and only $60.

I don’t know where some of these guys come up with these dumb answers. What the hell does an accident or breakdown have to do with a driver wanting to sleep on a nice mattress? Even more stupid was the guy that says you need to work harder...BS! In my opinion these are negative thinkers and guys who are prepared for failure! A good night’s rest is essential out here and with the weird hours that drivers have to endure, difficulty sleeping is not uncommon. Check out these mattresses that are available at Raney’s. Pick what’s best for your budget and forget the negative comments...

Casper, not cheap.. but also not cheap.

They have a good warranty and will hold up well.

A piece of 2" or 3" foam under the mattress can make a big difference.
Isolates the mattress, also works as an insulator and sound deadener.

If you're running double and can't sleep, the best fix is to give your co-driver a slap and tell them to drive smoother.

    :D

I'm solo now, but my co-driver was the WORST at braking. He would SLAM on his brakes. One time, I literally went flying out of bed and onto the floor! He never mastered braking smoothly. Whenever I was driving, I would try to demonstrate, but he never got it.
