Of all the companies who have their own CDL training schools, academies, etc. (Swift, Prime, Roehl, Millis, and Others) which has the best reputation for training their students? On another similar note, the best private CDL program(s) in Ohio?

Leonard's has a school in Farmington N.Y.. I can't say anything about the school, but the company drivers are all happy. I think the pay scale tops out over .50 now

    I'd say Millis or Prime.

In Ohio, the best, imo, is Napier Truck Driving School, but it's in Cincinnati.

Hard to beat Prime's program and the money you make while in training.

I have an employee who swears that Swift way is the only way to drive. She drives me crazy.

Im in training with Millis right now and they're class experience has been amazing. Small class rooms with more one on one time with the trainer, the pay is great when you get out on the road with your driver trainer, and the people that work there are wonderful and treat you like family.

I had considered Millis for training. If I understand their tuition correctly, it is $2340.00 total? Also, do students go out with a trainer for weeks 5-12, THEN go take their CDL test? That is unusual.

That's correct on the tution and you can choose how fast you want to pay it off when you start getting paid, it's well worth it though. You have to do 15,000 miles with the driver trainer which is usually 5 to 8 weeks and then you get your cdl, you have the choice to do get it in Wisconsin with them or in your home state. It's well worth it though, you won't hear anything bad with this company since I've started moat of the drivers always have something positive to say.
