Really? If you would, please post or PM a link to this "satellite internet designed to be used while the truck is moving" page that you found?
I get asked this satellite internet technology question quite often and I have yet to find ANY "practical" providers of such technology. Anything I have ever found involves huge equipment costs and a large dish.
Thanks in advance. (and yes, I read your post that it was slow and expensive. Just very curious which one you found for my research)

do not buy Hughes net! It's a scam, it's slow, and the signal is crap. had it before at home, and know several friends that had it and its terrible!
For those of you on android phones that have a data connection, you can use your phones internet to create a hotspot that your laptop or tablet can connect to.

in mid-October, 4G/LTE amplifiers will be available through maximum signal. You'll never have another problem getting internet/data connection again with one of these. had one for my Droid Incredible 3G and it was phenomenal. You can have no bars of service, and this thing will give you full bars of service.

If you have a Hotspot App on your phone it works just fine.
Verizon used to Charge Extra for use of the Hotspot (still do if you have the old unlimited plan).
They were forced to make it available for Free.
So...on most or all (not sure?) of the Newer Plans you can simply enable to Hotspot on your phone.
I do use FoxFi on a SG3 with unlimited.
And I also have another (POS) phone on one of the newer tiered plans.
Don't know how TMO and Sprint does it.
I would guess it's the same but don't know.knuckledragger Thanks this. -
I still have unlimited, so thats why I use FoxFi still. lol.
Joetro, knuckledragger and Balakov100 Thank this. -
I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner about this. I hadn't checked back in on this thread.

Thats what I found. I sorta was looking for in-motion rv systems figuring something could be done to make it work with a transport. But when I saw the prices I just gave up looking since cellphone services was so much cheaper.

And thats the hardware required which was another 8k... I'm sure you can see why I quickly gave up on the idea. -
And yes, 8 grand for mobile internet is not something I want to play in.
Thanks for the clarification! -

look into sprint. they have a new ceo, new ownership, and plans to be bigger then verizon. right now they have $60 unlimited texts, minutes, internet. $50 if you get the new iphone 6. and they also have no credit check. if you want to buy a refurbished phone.
i just reactivated an old sprint phone. and so far i'm impressed with their coverage. much better then it was 3 years ago. and it cost me absolutely NO PENNIES out of pocket to get activated. just wait for the first bill was all i had to do.
i have since dropped my internet and mobile hotspot fees with verizon. still keep the minutes and i'm saving myself $30 a month with the 2 carriers vs. having verizon only.knuckledragger Thanks this. -
What about the Verizon "Aircards". You get unlimited internet for about $60/mo and it works driving or stopped. I haven't had one since 2010 whne I left the company that provided them for us but my Sister who used to travel a lot in a toy hauler got one and loved it as well. I haven't looked into the current monthly cost but it has to be better than some of the things I am reading on the forums!

I just looked and answered my own question. $60/mo is no longer unlimited! Thought plans were supposed to get better not worse!!
