We are still trying to figure this out.

Right now we have a mifi device on Verizon we pay $83 (just data charge) for 18g that we share with one cellphone.

And $62 for a straight talk phone on the verizon network that has 10g super fast connection plus unlimited data at a slower speed. No hotspot allowed. The phone has Netflix which I can stream all day with little interruption.

The mifi is for our laptop and tablet.

I have two cellphones on tmobile also and the data is pretty hit or miss on the connectivity. Even though sometimes we do a reset where we have excellent connectivity and we have unlimited data on both and hotspot.

That's why I'm planning on getting the signal booster for the T-Mobile, I haven't heard of the 62$ plan from StraightTalk before though and I've been with them for years

That's with tax. I think it's $55 without. I found a card at Walmart and renew it on the phone.

Signal boosters work in general for any carrier if you get the right ones, I know the ones loves currently carries arent carrier based they work at extending the devices linked to them

You might consider Cricket Wireless. They're owned by ATT and use there network. I'm going to pick it a bring your own phone kit here in the next few days to test how it works. They do limit the speed to 8mbit/s (More then fast enough for netflix/youtube/etc) And they do have an unlimited plan.
