Sorry I did not save design. Just print off the picture of mine and go to their website and design one like it. Will only take a few minutes.

Well, have fun with that Skippy. It is one thing to manipulate postings on TR to prove a point. But EOBRs are very tightly defined and part of the definition is "automatic".
Take "automatic" out of the picture and you do not have an EOBR as defined by the FMCSA. What you have is computer generated logs.
But also not aware of a regulation stating that you have to truck labeled that you are using EOBRs. Or that saying you are using them when you aren't is against a regulation.
Just wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of a level 1 when they figure out your BS. -
Upon review, I think something like "Driver uses electronic logs" instead.
BigBadBill Thanks this. -
Yeah, but what is the point? If you are doing because you want a LEO to think you are using EOBR then when it is determined that you are not you are going to be treated that way.
So now you are on the wrong side of the trust issue.
And for what? I hand my computer printed logs, say I'm doing logs on a computer and would they like me to print today's. Since 2006 when I started using DDL I have never been asked to print current days log out. And most of the time is spent showing them the software or talking about how clean my logs are.
So I see no upside to lying on the side of my door and the downside is "Driver, that sign is BS and you know it. Come inside, get comfortable, you are going to be her awhile. Hold on while I get my rubber gloves." -
I do the same as you Bill. Eclipse on my laptop. My electronic logs should not be confused with EOBR's and I'm not saying they are.
BigBadBill and Elroythekid Thank this. -
This has been a very informative discussion. I believe I will remove them to avoid controversy.
Thanks for the advice. -
It does not list low bridges or restricted routes for trucks. It does have a feature that enables you to add drawings, symbols notes and text to the maps so the next time through your information shows up. I have truck stops, off street parking, low bridges, Walmarts with parking and all my customers labeled. These files can be copied and shared to other computers. You can also look up a location by name or phone number to find your shippers and receivers.Gears Thanks this.

Dice, owe you apology. Thought you where playing word games with the "automatic" but fully understanding what you where doing.
I'm a huge fan of Drivers Daily Log. Biggest issue is lack of support and how hard it is to train someone that is not computer literate. Plus they have no intention of moving to any other "tablet" format. I am testing a log program for iPad right now and it will likely become my "standard" for new drivers.
WARNING FOR THOSE DOING COMPUTER LOGS OR THINKING OF COMPUTER LOGS Several companies that are offering tablet based logs that are not EOBR compliant are using an FMCSA guidance that says you can store documents electronically, if they are originals, and must be able to produce (print) on demand. The mention logs and these companies are using this to say you do not have to print your logs each day just if asked. This is not true. This applies to the office side and not computer logs while on the road. -
DO NOT get rid of them. sell them here to a rookie trucker.

j/k/BigBadBill Thanks this. -
there are stickers that say THIS TRUCK USES ELECTRONIC LOGS.
been seeing them a lot these neck of the woods. they are green with white lettering.
