Never believe the BS about paying your dues. It's utter nonsense. Time behind the wheel matters to some companies because of their insurance. But some companies need drivers bad enough to overlook that and give you a chance. Apply to companies that you think are beyond your capabilities and see what happens.
After 6 months driving I had the best spot in a dirt hauling company and after a year of driving I was hauling fuel. I wish I could say I'm an exceptional driver, but I'm not, just average. Show up, do your job. That's all you have to do nowadays to be a star employee.
Don't settle for crap pay. Demand more and you'll get it.

Pick a mega account for the experience. I did Schneider Ecolab and now I do Ecolab Ecolab. I didn’t make #### for the 6-9 months I ran ecolab for Schneider. And most of those guys get pressured to make mistakes. Don’t chase the money.
