Best Tarps

They're about 3hrs S of where I grew up, but we don't run freight up there. My co orders their tarps from a place in Ft Worth, but good lawd are they expensive. $1300 for 2 8ft drops and they're like 16oz material.

 

So i have the 3 piece lightweight 6' drop tarps with the flaps from mytee. All three of them weigh 140lbs. I love having a 3 piece. However they do rip kind of easy. And I've never actually needed the 6' drops. But overall I'm happy with them

Not a flatbedder but when I did LTL in St. Louis, if you were downtown, you could bet on getting at least 3 skids of new tarps out of Zamzow. It was an everyday pickup. And everytime it went to N. Little Rock, AR to Maverick. Really nice people there, cannot attest to the quality or value of their tarps though. I end dump now and our roll tarps are made by Zamzow also for what it’s worth, they seem pretty durable. I’ve hauled a lot of scrap that bounces up in transit that I thought surely would make Swiss cheese out of it. Didn’t phase it a bit. Just my $0.02.

 

Not sure where you guys run at, but when I drove for my old boss we got tarps from Ruff n Tuff in Caldwell ID. They were good, the only thing I didn’t care for is they were super slick when wet or frosty.

 

Im thinking these might be the ticket for me, but in the sizes I was talking about above

U ever been over to the , ithink its called, "montana canvas" or something similar. Its off i90 over in bozeman/belgrade area.. Ive been wanting to stop by there , i go by it everyday

 

I know he tried a couple sets from there after Dan Cranston had to stop making tarps and they didn’t seem to last. I know one complaint was fewer stitches per inch on the D ring webbing and Ruff n Tuff would build tarps the exact way he wanted them.

 

Yeah that is a pain when you own your own tarps.

I would give it some time so you can get experience on what will chew up or make a hole In a tarp before you buy your own.

But, IMO, the best tarps are going to be from Best Tarps. Easy to swing by West Memphis and pick them up.
