Michelin XLED’s. Run them 200K miles, replace, get casing credit, hurts, but not very often.

Love the XLED’s performance on snow and ice.

I would not run premium Highway tires of any brand in the city. Rather buy cheaper tires from local dealer. Someone that wants my business. All depends on price. Plenty of choices. Even Chinese, or recaps, depending on quality. We have a local shop that does their own recaps. Not a fan, but know a few guys that run them OTR. $200 each. Don’t know about your operation. City tires usually take a lot of abuse. Mpg isn’t as important as Longhaul. Don’t need as many groove’s or a decoupler that premium OTR steers have. Often they get damaged in the city, doing deliveries. Most have 2 options for steers. Top of the line, better wear and mpg, and another that’s more a vocational tire. They’re cheaper, usually have less ribs, no outside edge decoupling groove. They tend to hold up better. I’ve heard them called a bump and grind tire. Still approved for OTR, most likely will get flat spots on the edges sooner. Better for local use.
