For least rolling resistance, the Michelins are the best - the guy who got the best fuel mileage in our fleet last year had Michelin all-positions on drives and steers.
Recaps are a toss-up... cheap, but no telling where the rolling resistance has gone. Depends on what they were capped with.
As far as trailer tires are concerned, your fuel mileage is more influenced by the trailer than the tractor. Bad place to be cheap. Think in terms of the long game, unless you plan on getting rid of your equipment - fuel prices will be going up again when the world economy heats up, so the extra cost of good tires will be more than offset in fuel savings. Centramatics are a super investment for extending your tire life.
