When I quit STEVENS two years ago , I waited until I went home for my week off . I finished my load and then parked the truck at a company approved lot . That way they could not ding me for abandoning the load or the truck . I then cleaned everything out and went home . I called them up and let them know I won't be coming back . I had found a local job .

I definitely don't recommend quitting the way I did. I was respectful and such, but I didn't give two weeks notice because I couldn't afford to work there for two more weeks. They told me that they would never consider hiring a driver back that doesn't give two weeks. Oh well. Leaving for a reason, why would I go back? I'll have a new job on Monday.

I'm never going back Otr/regional/dedicated. Got my year now it's time to try something local.

See, I hate local. Absolutely despise it. I also hate OTR. Regional with 1-2 nights home weekly and home weekends is where it's at for me.

Nope! I've got two opportunities right at my disposal that offer everything I could want and more. Regional driving, 2000-2500 miles per week, home 1-2 nights during the week, off most Saturday's and all of Sunday. So sorry, but this is the advantage of working for small fleets. You'll never catch me in a mega carrier rig.
