It can be easy without any fuss if you aren’t lazy and truly want to eat better. You’ve got to build the habit.

Get a good sized fridge and a good Coleman propane grill, couple cans of Coleman propane, and a good sized skillet.

super easy recipes that are good (flavoring dependent on you, I cook good AF, but maybe you don’t?)

All can be cooked on a single skillet is the goal.

for washing the skillet get a 5 gallon camp water container with spout. Refill at truck stop.

groceries can be gotten anywhere. You can Uber, no more than 2 hours of your time once a week in your 34.

    It can be done!

also, snacks are important, so I hydration (I’d suggest two liquid IV packets a day)

You can get some pretty darn good food with Door Dash. Won't be cheap. I enjoy it.

This is the answer. You can get any food you want, and far cheaper. I'm sitting at a full 50 pounds lighter than my heaviest following my knee injury. I stay out of truck stops altogether and eat salads, deli meat, cheese, veggies, the occasional keto treat, stok black coffee, bottled water by the gallon...I eat quite well, and keep my expenses to about $20 per day. Not bad.

Well life is short, and money definitely is something but it’s not everything. And if it means more to you to be home daily then an extra $300 a week, then by all means do it. I’m starting to lean that direction myself. Lol I’m just a couple weeks shy of four years experience with an absolute clean record so the options for me should be open. There are things about over the road that I love though. And I will miss them. And I haven’t finalized this decision just yet. But I’ve got aging parents, who need care And the guilt of only seeing them once every couple months is starting to wear on me.

Its reasons like these that are why guys should consider staying local
But many think it will be less work and home every night by 4pm
Pretty much no matter what local job you do it’s going to be up early. Home late so like I said
You need a reason like family etc to motivate that decision not a bigger check or less hours
It normally doesn’t work like that

All that canned stuff is worse or just as bad as fast food. Get bananas, fruit, apples, drink plenty of water, and if you stop at a TA/ Petrol or and other truck stop with a Dennys’s get a side salad or two, then walk a few miles if time permits, you will feel better.
