Beware CRST lease purchase.

Beware of CRST period…. I heard a lot of drivers complaining of miles

 

I've done two. My first was when I was with SRT/Star/Landair (Covenant). At SRT I was given the rate of $1.02 a mile plus FSC. I was also given guaranteed mileage pay and an extra $0.05 for hazmat loads. I did pretty well and the contract was written where you could understand it. While at Star/Landair, I was raised to $1.05 flat rate. No more hazmat or guaranteed mileage pay. The only problem I had with them was splitting my loads. I left as I just wasn't making the same money as I was at SRT. I had to return the unit sadly, though A&A Express offered to front the movement deposit for me to come over. Which brings me to A&A Express.

Lease purchase can be good or bad depending on how you run it. It helps to make sure that you read the contract first and make sure you understand it. My one regret was not being able to save for a truck on my own. But with lease purchase, it's like Las Vegas: You come and gamble. You may win some, but you bet against the house and lose. The house wins!

 

I did the lease purchase program with John Christner trucker on time…. I made no money! My truck spent more time in the repair shop than it did on the road! Most of the money i made went to the truck! $500 a month take home was what i made…. I quit before 5 months was up!! Never again!!
