Besides which he's using his bobtail under Personal conveyance so he's really not required to pretrip it to drive to the love's.

Not a fan of Swift by any means but I will say this -
If the floors are coated with anything it's because YOUR fellow employees
are eating and drinking like hogs at the troth .
Seriously , have you EVER seen a Pepsi can or plate of food leap off a table ?

A short while back I walk into the Memphis terminal early one morning and
EVERY table in the place was covered with trash and there was enough food on the floor
to feed a family of four for a week . One chair had 4 bottles sitting next to it , the trash can
was 3 feet away , right next to the vending machines...

Suey ! Suey ! Here piggie piggie !

Don't you mean taking up TWO parking spaces at Loves for 34 hours. One in the back for the dropped trailer and one in the front for the tractor.

Last I checked your bumper is part of your truck therefore it's part of your pretrip inspection

You didn't know?? You gotta dry hump your bumper ,and smack it around before hitting the tarmac.
Don't forget your defcon 5, qualcom full system check, before firing off those re entry interstate rockets. :biggrin_25523:

Considering the OP just had his bumper replaced by the mechanics, I'd say it's kind of careless for the driver not to even take a quick glance at the mounting brackets and bolts, while he has the hood up checking oil.
I always check any repair done on my truck, if it's reasonable (not talking injectors or internal work).

Plus, his story sounds very hard to believe, because he said it was due to 1 loose/missing mounting bolt.
No bumper will come completely off, with only 1 bolt gone. There's anywhere from 6 to 12 mounting bolts holding it on.
One too many "Haha's" in a poor pretrip... can get you killed.

BWAHAHA!!! Exactly. Look, I'll concede the fact he should of checked the repair. But any one on here who says they pretrip their freaking bumper!? Come on, people. Nobody does that.

I check the condition of my bumper, everyday.
To make sure its still there, its not damaged, sagging, showing signs of needing repair. I slip seat and have a small yard with closely parked trucks.
The owners brother has already damaged a couple of trucks, in our yard. Failing to tell anyone about the damage.
So laugh, if you want, but many of us check the bumper everyday.

KW Cajun, Skydivedavec and drvrtech77 Thank this.
