Unfortunately, Schnieder is totally exempt from any labor laws. In fact, all the major trucking companies are totally exempt. Pay and conditions are absolutely terrible ($350.00-$900.00 weekly for up to 100 hours) while working as a driver for any of the large carriers.
The only reason that any of these companies are able to obtain any drivers at all are either through driver ignorance and/or desperation.
You're right; Schneiders' practices should be illegal but corporations in this country have completely taken control of our government and they make all the rules; and all the rules will continually grow in their favor. As long as there are republicrats; the situation will remain hopeless. And it's only going to keep getting worse.Last edited: Dec 17, 2017

Nice. And so typical.
Someone blows the whistle on an alarming situation that is seriously affecting us all, and yet many weak kiss ###es point the blame on the person reporting it.
Yeah.. a "real man" should always gratefully accept whatever meager scraps are thrown his way.
And work, unconditionally and unquestioningly, like a dog to receive it.
Weak.OrangeBox, king v, BrandonCDLdriver and 6 others Thank this. -
look you go to a mega fleet to get ur experience then move on. we all start at the bottom of the barrel. work hard get experience then move on to better jobs. they treat drivers that way cause let’s face it look at most out here fat out of shape don’t shower wears flip flops got multiple face piercings just a bunch of degenerates any more. any dumb slob can steer a automatic truck down the road and swing some doors open. do something most are scared or to lazy to do. be the best and reap the reward or be just a numberking v, delta5, Paddlewagon and 7 others Thank this.

Not sure where you got that info from think you will find they have to pay what is considered the industry standard now if there paying above that then no one could complain. The driver that complained needs to be more specific about what deductions Schneider are making if its for your health insurance then that's what there supposed to do.Steel Dragon Thanks this.

He is correct concerning Wage and Hour exemption under 13 (b)1 FLSA. It has been this way for decades.Steel Dragon Thanks this.

My short experience with Schneider happened with their intermodel side 5 1/2 years ago. They hired me and sent me to orientation in Chicago to work out of Elwood. On the 4th day of orientation, they assigned trucks and told me I'd be working out of Chicago. I stated that I was hired to work out of Elwood, but they said, "we gave that position to another driver". I left and never came back.
diesel drinker, DoubleO7, Toomanybikes and 4 others Thank this.
