Quit right now!!! You don't want this ####### machine! I'm trying to get off mine right now and it's a ####### nightmare. The mask makes falling asleep suck, every single night. If I could choose again, I would literally rather work for Swift than stay at Crete with this mask.
If you Quit before the physical, it stays off your record. After the physical, it's on your record and you will be forced to stay compliant to drive.
Check out the threads from Xlsdraw. He got a cpap machine, screwed his career up big time...

I had a physical done about 3 months ago. The doc ordered the sleep study, because she was "concerned" with BMI. Had the study done, it came up negative.
Then found out my company switched clinics. The new clinic NEVER asked about it, NEVER showed any concern about body mass, etc.
It's true, they want you to sleep on your back at least 75% of the night. No sleeping on your stomach, minimally on your side. The place I had it done, wasn't originally built as a sleep center. So you could hear people talking in other rooms, out in the hall, etc. They had to adjust room temperature for you. Lady across the hall had to be on oxygen, so there was a pump running all night in the hall. Strange surroundings, covered with test leads, and THEY EXPECT YOU TO SLEEP NORMAL THROUGH ALL OF THIS.
It's a wonder I did....TruckDuo Thanks this. -
I agree with jungledrums....I'm a sleep tech and the person should be allowed to sleep in whatever position that they normally sleep in. Most people change positions during the night and if you have sleep apnea, it's gonna show up. $900 for a CPAP machine is steep. You can get one fairly reasonable if you don't have any complex sleep disordered breathing. If you do, then there are underlying conditions that should be reviewed by medical staff. I wear CPAP, and I sure didn't pay $900 for a machine. You should be able to request a sleep study by any qualified sleep doctor, not the company one.
