Okay, here is my problem. Yes cyclist has the same rights.. But safety is such a large concern to me. I find it DUMB to ride a bike on a busy street. Not sure if any of you folks have or had drove on Blanding Blvd in Jacksonville / Orange Park, but if you ride a bike on that street, your just retarded... Reason why I say that is because I've had a cyclist pull out in front of me doing 45 causing me to slam on my brakes with some one riding my ##s. You best believe I was pissed off. Of course all I did was wait until I could go around and that was it.

I'm not like those dumb ##s people who ride other people's ##s for doing something stupid. I always LOVE seeing a 4 wheeler inches from a motorcyclist / cyclist... NOT. If you are one of those people who have done that, you need to seriously step back and look at how bad you endanger their life and yours.

You know what drives me insane? Cyclists are supposed to have the same rights as other vehicles on the road, but why is it so many cyclists don't bother obeying the same rules of the road as the rest of us? Case in point: I was driving/training today and had successfully closed off my right side to perform a button hook turn to the right. I knew the cyclist would catch up to me so I was keeping an eye out. He swung out and came up the drivers side. Stops at the red light, looks both ways, then decides to go ahead and cross the intersection....on a solid red light!!!!

roads are there for everybody, not just 4 wheelers or truckers or people on bikes. yes, there are people who don't pay attention. but most people on bikes follow the rules of the road. they know if they get in a accident with a car, they will always lose. last year i had a car turn in front of me when i had the right of way, i hit the side of his car at 20mph (was going down a slight hill). my head shattered his windshield. mistakes happen. as for roads being to dangerous, that is not the fault of the bikers. i hope this helps.

Might not be tellin us how to dress, but ya sure don't have a problem showin us what you're supposed to be dressed to cover up....:biggrin_25522::biggrin_2559:

Me.....I've been told I'd look okay in a bikini. Will you ever see me in one? Not a chance. Even though it is considered proper and practical for poolside and beach lounging. I'm not a lounger. I'm a swimmer. I'll wear a swimming suit designed for ....swimming. like maybe an Arena if they're still in business.

Besides....I would hate for anyone to identify ALL of my tattoos.

    Yep. Drives me crazy too.

Also, I don't rant to every trucker I meet about the sloppy driving of some truckers.

I think a lot of it has to do with the body that is in the spandex. Most cyclists are in good shape, or they would be sitting on the couch watching TV and eating chocolate. B U T there are those that are just now trying to get into shape, and some of the shapes they are in while they are trying just plain need to be covered up!

Sure you see that with bicyclists. You also see it with idiots that are behind the wheel.

Yep. But the fact is that there are roads that are designed in such a manner that only a #### fool would ride a bike on them. "Because I have the right to do so," is NOT going to make the pain go away, or the hospital stay to be any less.

OTOH, this could be considered Darwinism at it's finest, so go ahead and ride those roads. Just remember there are other idiots out there who text and drive, talk on their cell phones and drive, shave and drive, eat and drive, and in some cases have sex while driving. So, if you want to pit yourself and your bicycle against some fool in a cage that is doing any of the above, be my guest.

But we WANT to see you in a bikini! And I'd like to see your tattoos. As far as making the identification of them, I'd be willing to "get educated" as to what they all stand for!:biggrin_25525:

Mr. BigDon: For you...only with a hand-written, witnessed by two people (you and the Otter don't count as witnesses...that would be duress) and notarized note from Alice.

What you call Darwinism, I call being willing to put my life on the line in the exercise of my right to travel.

I do thousands of miles a year on the road, love it, and find that practically everybody shares the road.

Then I get on the internet, and find that practically everybody feels like they have the right to talk down to cyclists as if we were children, as if we don't know the risks. Apparently a driver's license makes everybody a smirking Obi Wan Kenobi.
