I was thinking the same exact thing. Rear mounts and fuel filter look like it was sitting down low like they do in the Louisvilles.

It has a 7W-3906 pump. Long timing advance cone and a JWAC. None of that goes together sorta. By 87 or 8 most everything including the 285hp were air to air. There were a few 310’s running around of the 4MG variety in Fords and vocational cornfield Cadillac’s I can’t remember the model but I believe S series. Course on a reman which is what the 7CX is anything is possible with its age anything is possible. But the odds of it being a low horse or even industrial look pretty good from here.

Well heck should explain more i guess. I got this from a junk yard. The Truck originally came with a 400hp big cam 3. Assuming they took a mech motor non air to air to put back in there. From what i could run down with vins and all that. Theres no serial number on the block. The only one is that 7cx cat tracked it down to be a 400-425 4mg build. I just hope its a good motor

A 400 JWAC had more rack travel than a 425ATAAC. That said it coulda been robbed from anything to go anywhere. That happens with old stuff. If it’s a 400 or 425 you’re set. It would be the only 400 4MG JWAC I’ve ever seen. Not that I’ve seen it all by any means. I had an 87 Pete with a 400 from factory but ATAAC. Why it wasn’t sent as 425 has always been a mystery. It was a numbered truck and had a lot of eccentric points
