A NEW reefer trailer with a TK for 40K? That's a great deal.
-
More like a new trailer with a hole a new TK will fit in.
fortycalglock Thanks this. -
hey i just mentioned what i saw. could have been on auction, forclosure or for quick sale.

Don't be afraid to go with used equipment it is much cheaper, a reefer I would get checked out but if you know the basics a dry van is really just a box on wheels they are easy to look over. Our trailer is a 1989 stricken and while heavy it is in really good shape. This trailer was only 5500

If you do "Power Only" with your authority that is not considered leasing on. The one that pushes this the most is JB Hunt and for your area would be the best for miles. But, including FSC they are at about $1.60 range right now on about 2000 miles a week, if you believe them.
Your best option is to find a smaller carrier that pays well and lease onto them. You will be able to get a better fell on how the business works that way vs. one of the mega carriers. Plus mega carriers don't pay well.
But don't sit for too long. All carriers are going to want recent experience and the ones that don't you will have to be careful of.
Being with CRE you understand the life of a reefer driver. Not my thing but plenty of people love it. If you want to learn flatbed, check with AmericanTrucker. He is just moving to a company that will train and pays pretty well as a company driver. Long-term, flatbed is going to pay the best money and give you a better life style.volvodriver01 Thanks this. -
