And yet the people who actually have experience can't get hired. Thanks to the Liberals for that one.

I remember awhile back when a Tsar company (A B Gill) in Edmonton was found guilty of 3 million dollars worth of fines and 1900 charges over a month span. They were all dropped, nothing happened. Just insane!

Just yesterday, I saw an ad stating “employment letters from overseas accepted!!!!” which actually opens the door for fake or unverified credentials, while local Canadian drivers face much tougher scrutiny and higher barriers.
I also placed a job-seeking ad on Kijiji recently and noticed some frustrating patterns. Many callers, mostly from one particular background, started the conversation in their own language—assuming I was from their country. Then, despite my ad clearly stating I’m an experienced driver looking for a job, many still acted as if I’m offering a job instead. This shows how assumptions and closed networks make the job search even harder for drivers like me who don’t fit those expected molds.
It’s a tough reality, but hopefully, more awareness and open discussion can push the industry toward more transparency, fairness, and merit-based hiring for all qualified drivers. -
Furthermore, many companies claim to support diversity and equal opportunity, but in reality, they are often not serious about it.
