Went farming today... Had to throw iron to get up the hill in the field because of the rain but we got them loaded. That swather was a pain.

The other side looks the same. And by the time I got this secured the trailer had dried some. The dang thing only has one rear wheel and on the first attempt the right wheel slipped and got us all ####eyed on the ramp.

The cool thing was that the head was 12' 5.75" wide. 1/4" from needing a pilot car.

I had 6 chains on that dang thing and there are absolutely no tie down points on it at all. But it got there and was still on the trailer.... LOL

Patience is needed when the state Deskjockeys have their heads in their arses. 2 and a half weeks for a scraper...

Speaking of that, there was a night move in Louisiana on 10 near Lafayette, LA. Well between Frog City and the TA.

116 foot long bridge beams. BTW that beam is spanning a 4 lane highway with a center turn lane. It is on hwy 2 just as you enter kalispell.

@cnsper, where do they make those beams and how far do you haul them?

We have picked them up in Spokane, Billings and Helena. average is anywhere from 200-500 miles. We have loaded them in Helena and taken them to North Dakota or Wyoming. These ones came from Spokane and went to Kalispell.

Only had a couple of close calls yesterday on hwy 200 east of Sandpoint ID. Right hand curve for me and a truck coming the other way cut the corner. Missed the guardrail with the dolly by about 2". Then a little further where the real curves start I was starting into a left hand curve and then I get a call that a wide load was coming. Yep, sure enough, 15' wide loads. Four of them. Good thing I stopped because the trailer was already heading towards the center line because of the curve.

We all made it through though and all was well from there on in. At 135' overall it takes a little bit of road to make those corners.

Oh ya considering no one in the company knew how to fold it up or run it even though we had it 8 months (guy who ran it quit suddenly the other day and the asphalt department never bothered to learn either) lol oh and the hydraulic landing gear wouldn't go up over 2 inches above the ground.... Yea our maintence department is sorry lol it was fuuuuuuuun lol
