That is a considerable difference. 10k can make a huge difference in the permit cost alone. Not to mention pay load. I agree with you on the drop side trls. Unless all you do is Yellow iron I would think they would be too much of a hassle.

If you're worried about bouncy tires on an RT crane, just put the outriggers down :p

I've only hauled two RT cranes. Both were considered small to you guys. I left the out riggers up. They weren't bad, but different. Takes a few miles to get use to them.

I'm just being a smart###. I've never pulled anything oversized before, mostly just straight trucks I drive. I like hanging around here for the cool pics and all the useful information ya'll post in here.

The ones I have hauled, the out riggers were out past the deck. It gets bouncy hauling them sittin on the tires. The last one I hauled I blocked it. World Of Difference!!

I thought about you @superhauler. Last wee I hauled 4 850 side booms. I finally figured out the center of the weight on the last one. The first one was leaning hard to the left. Scared the #### out of me.

Ha ,they have a better center of load than the cats. Took me a few tries till I figured them out.

cke, SAR and noluck Thank this.

I had a Volvo haul truck on and forgot to check the bed before heading out. Man that first time hard on the brakes. There was a ton of water in the bed.
