Seems to me they’d clog more frequently with an older engine.

    I hate California.

Since I don't use these trailers I am just taking a guess...

The picture of the detachment of the deck from the trailer, is that the rear tridem removed from the deck. If it is, I always thought that everything was one piece, yours looks like it's somewhat of a modular trailer with the pins allowing you to do what you have done. Was this something you spec'd knowing that you wanted to have the chose of going from beam to deck without having too completely different complete trailers?

So from what I get from this. You will be able to remove the neck and the tridem to hook to a beam then reattach it all. If this is the case, how hard is it going to be to switch from the deck to the beam. I can't imagine it being something that you would switch back and forth to often.

Sorry just curious, not in this line of work. I just have a mind that likes to learn about stuff that peaks my interest even though I will probably never get into this line of work.

Most if not all trailers that size are modular bogie, it has other advantages besides switching decks. I'm not sure his plan to switch his out but we have a big forklift that'll handle my deck, I can switch mine in less than 15 minutes.

Since I run primarily out and back from AZ/CA and usually not less than 1000 miles - my plan is to switch decks as needed for the load.

I do not have access to a large enough forklift, so I will have to bring in a heavy wrecker to do the job.

Yes the trailer was spec’d With modular wheel area but as JD said most of them are.

cke, SAR, kylefitzy and 1 other person Thank this.

Cool can’t wait to see that beam with a load on it. Isn’t it a little more work to load a beam than a deck..
