Here’s what I know right now, I’m told it’s coming like it or not. I know SCRA has said California is actually open to the idea, like I said California falls the rest will follow.

We can agree on the enforcement side for sure.

Part of the value you provide to your customer is being able to navigate the complexities of moving the loads through multiple jurisdictions and the rate should include $ for that value.

I really have nothing against anyone operating smarter or more efficiently and reaping the benefits. I have a 7/8 axle guy leased under my authority and a 7 axle (if they ever replace the engine in his truck) and I want them to succeed. They have also looked at the market and made investments for the current landscape.

My 7/8 axle would like to run western Canada but his equipment is not compliant ....

I agree wholeheartedly, the dinosaurs died it wasn’t up to them and it’s happening here.

So since you’ve invested money it shouldn’t change? Better call your congressman because it’s coming.

When that happens - it will be bad for me for some freight but I doubt so kill myself.

It will just be another market efficiency that benefits are questionable.

    cke Thanks this.

This ain't my first rodeo. I made enough coming in to bounce home. The electric truck would have been some decent gravy though...

Had to leave my little flip neck at home. Barely scaled the multiple piece load down there.
I'm fairly sure I couldn't axle that truck out without it. With the axle gauge width, I don't think I would want to try going over the rear fenders, if I had to get to the first bolster. IMG_20190119_172539006.jpg
Fenders are nice for lots a goofy stuff. But I'm not sure how heavy I wanna drive over the hump. Been meaning to weld a vertical plate 5"-6" tall underneath and between the duals to strengthen them up.

Benefits being questionable is a matter of perspective.

I don’t think a confused web of mess is what is going to keep the rates up.

cke, snowman_w900 and johndeere4020 Thank this.

Well I do like to nitpick, it has nothing to do with sleeping at night. I can just see the big picture and maybe since I don’t have skin in the game my perspective isn’t clouded.
