Yeah, but I'm not a hero like I am to some. I filed a grievance but the publisher ignored me.

Been a slow start to the year combined with a dropped liner and blown head gasket leading to a full overhaul of my motor.

Was hauling this pump to OH when the head gasket let go finally back in early January.

Dropped the trailer and limped it to the Cummins dealer in Columbus, OH and its been there since. They can't seem to get enough parts to put it together.

Flew home the next morning and stole the day cab from our local guy to get the load delivered over the following weekend.

After 3 weeks at home we finally rented a truck. The road truck I got from Paclease had electrical problems so I wound up with a day cab to run a smaller pump to DC. Wasn't a terrible truck but the 10sp ultrashift was garbage. Got lucky I had a day cab though as I never would've gotten the load where they wanted it with a sleeper truck.

Then I borrowed the local truck again this weekend to run back to OH and bring home another big pump for rebuild. 13sp with 3.36 rear ends is for sure not the truck I would like to be using for this. 20210213_103405.jpg

I have a lack of experience and knowledge when it comes to running an auxiliary trans. I would be interested to know why you run one with the 4700RDS?

I know with mine I have never come across a situation where the truck was unable to get rolling. Even on steep grades at 200K+ I've always been able to just stick it in 1st and slowly roll on power to get it moving from a dead stop. I don't know exactly how steep but for sure some have been close to 10%.or more.

I don't do much offroad work though. I tend to load/unload on concrete. The most offroad I ever see is occasionally on a muddy mine road or jumping curbs in a power plant.

Because things never slow down. As soon as I got the ladle off. Had to drop the perimeter trailer and run and pick this up for a quick delivery to Baton Rouge then bobtail back for my trailer.
