he is running a west coast 2+1 - see how close his axle weights are on the trailer. Shim adding or subtracting will give him float (up and down) on the front rollers (which he needs) but wont change his axle weights. That is why it is sometimes called an evener beam. The only that really changes the axle weight is length on the booster - some are built with slides so you could 60-46 or 60-40 depending position

I only suggested the old flip around because he is new to larger loads with his west coast trailer

Duh, that makes since. Might work on an east coast trailer but not on a west coast setup.

    no worries

west coast trailer are kinda voodoo because they are not widely used. I miss mine every single day. They are super easy to load because you always know what the axles are gonna be back there

    hmmmm

truth be told, I have a buddy that has a tk130hdg with both deck and beam, it needs paint and deck but it’s around that number. I keep telling him don’t you sell that trailer- I gots my eye on it.

but really how many trailers can a one truck shop have? I have 3 now - one is rented to the same buddy?

Currently no shim on the stinger. We played around with a few things just to document that we exhausted our options. Gonna try flipping it tommorow. If that don't work out oh well.

The second that I showed them the weights they went into "this is probably coming off the trailer but we gotta try mode"

Some of our bigger drivers that have messed around with some of these trailers just told us it ain't happening less they marked the wrong side heavy.

Which is really not likely, seeing as they picked it up rear of center and dropped the heavy end towards the rear.

But we shall have the final answer on that tommorow.
