    Here is the same trailer as the one with the 769C, with its 16 tire jeep. Murray builds a great trailers. This 1987 model Cat-350.jpg 7 axle configuration does have its drawbacks. While its easy to load over the rear with any machine, in order to maximize its 60 ton capacity, the center of gravity must be where the front of the forward loader tire is. This was easy with the D-9G, D9H. With newer dozers, as you climbed the neck, height became an issue. Excavators were not bad but the counter-weight was up pretty high and required care on a winding supered road. One could switch from the 7 ax back to 5x in 15 minutes. With a second gooseneck, you can utilize the jeep and a dolly while using the 5 ax unit with a second truck. And in a pinch I have used just the jeep to haul the U.S. Forest Service D-6H on the tight forest roads..

    Awesome pictures... being from Penn Valley did you ever haul anything for Manuel Brothers out of Grass Valley when they were in business? My dad worked there for over 20 years and I did for almost 5 before they went out.

    I drove the lowbed for them from Jan. 2012 to Feb. 2013 when they closed (When Quanta closed them up). Do you know B. Larkin?

    I had a feeling............ I remember him telling me his son was driving all over the country but I didnt know you worked for them. When did you leave? I am driving for the co. that bought the yard part time when they need equip. hauled, but it does cut into my retirement activities. LOL

    I left in October of 2011. I was there from july of 07 till then. my last job was up in eastern Washington working on radio towers. who bought the yard?
