    Truckdad.
I love the pictures you put up, but man it brings back some memories. I used to work for the FS on the Los Padres NF. Was stationed in Carpinteria for a little while then transfered to the dozer out of the Paradise Rd station. Was on many fires with all those guys, some of the best guys that I've ever met.

I used to move the USFS dozer all over the LP in SB Co. & SLO Co. We probably know some of the same folks, my contacts were out of the Santa Maria station..from 1978 thru 2008.

Then you probably knew Clay. Until he went to work for LAFD. He ran the dozer up that way for awhile. I worked with Chris on my end of the forest. Was with him until he took a dozer job with Ventura Co.

Ahh gotcha. Yeah, I didn't work with the SM guys too much. But it's definitely crazy how small this world is. DZ-4 was the unit I was on in 07-08. uploadfromtaptalk1425086874073.jpg

This was us punching some line on a fire up near Monterey

This is after I left the axle scale coming out of Empire Cat in Mesa, AZ June 88 with a 637D. While taking the pic I was thinkin " now this is a good lookin big load" and I turn and see this guy coming down the road with the 789 dump bed. Ruined the moment.................

I'll be picking up a mantis crawler crane tomorrow morning outta tulsa that's moving to Iowa. Once I get it on, I'll snap a picture.

I still have to learn the pressures for the lift axle on this truck and fifth wheel placement for different loads, but what and where do you guys normally run yours at?
