uploadfromtaptalk1425607329721.jpg Here's my load that came up at the last minute today. Just a short 100 mile gig. But, for now I'm hanging out at home with the little lady. I'll take off in the morning and then after this gets dropped off, I get to put in a new clutch

We can thank the govt shutdown for that one. I was an 18/8 employee prior to the shurdown, then after a 13/13 and I couldn't keep up on my mortgage and other bills, so started trucking instead

    truckdad Thanks this.

I miss being on the fire line A LOT. I loved the entire job. But, this isn't so bad. After being in the military and on deployments, and then 2+ week fire assignments I'm kinda used to being gone. I'm currently based out of southern minnesota, abbot an hour west of mankato.

Yeah, very long way from Carp. I miss that entire area something awful. But thankfully I have a ton of pictures, some of which are blown up that remind me of my past life.

With today's and tomorrow's economy, I don't know if people my age are actually going to be able to have a retirement as we know it now and as our parents knew it. But, that's a discussion for another thread. Haha

truckdad, tsavory and passingthru69 Thank this.
