Most tanker companies wanted 1 year experience before hiring. Food-grade is more likely to hire newbies, if any tanker company can. I don't know that any tanker outfits hire newbies, but tanker is the segment to get to ASAP.
Look at Indian River, Western or Midwestern Dairy Transport.nextgentrucker Thanks this. -

If you pull vans/boxes at first....for at least a year....you will appreciate your tanker job A LOT MORE -- when you later get it.

Go on tenstreet, search "food grade tanker", and apply to each one that comes up.
Oakley, Indian River Transport, Bynum, Carry Transit, KAG,......Dana might do some food grade, not sure.
Of the companies above, try KAG and Oakley. If they have a lot of freight coming out of your area, you might luck out.
Also, KAG has a reefer division now. I don't know anything about them, but I've seen them.
KAG (supposedly) lets you transfer divisions after a year.RockinChair Thanks this. -
